36,600 square feet of curtainwall and storefront glazing across an industrial fulfillment building of nearly one million square feet
Croydon Drive Building B is a three-storey commercial office building located at 15350 Croydon Drive in Surrey, British Columbia, developed by Berezan and designed by Jordan Kutev Architect Inc. The building’s defining architectural feature is its near-monolithic glazed envelope — a continuous reflective glass façade that wraps the building on all sides, broken only by horizontal cap lines at each floor and the perimeter glass canopy at the ground level.
Vision West supplied and installed 25,000 square feet of exterior curtainwall along with 3,200 square feet of glass canopies wrapping the perimeter of the building. The curtainwall was executed with vertical structural silicone glazing and exposed black anodized horizontal caps, producing the clean glass-to-glass vertical lines that give the façade its uninterrupted appearance while the horizontals cleanly delineate each floor. Vision glass was specified as 1″ sealed units consisting of 6mm Solarcool blue reflective glass on the #2 surface over 6mm clear with low-e on the #3 surface, delivering both the deep blue reflectivity that defines the building and the thermal performance required for an all-glass commercial envelope. Spandrel glass over insulated backpans was installed at each floor line to conceal the slab edges and maintain the continuous glazed appearance from grade to roof. The 12mm tempered laminated glass canopies were set onto a structural steel framework supplied and installed by others, requiring close coordination at the steel-to-glass interface.
The completed building reads as a single, uninterrupted glass volume from every approach — a clean, contemporary commercial envelope that anchors its position along Croydon Drive in South Surrey’s growing business district.
